BIM is a software application that runs on a PC in your facility
BIM periodically collects bulk inventory readings from:
- Different monitoring device types & from different manufacturers
- HMI SQL databases
- Manual entry
- Applications that can export CSV formatted text files
Information is delivered to:
- Users in the facility – inventory levels displayed
- Corporate headquarters – can view readings from all sites
- Suppliers and carriers – receive set point notifications and periodic inventory updates
- Cell phones or PDAs – reach anyone with set points and inventory updates
